Clinton Jewelers’ proprietor, Rebecca Brown, started in the shop as an apprentice designer, perfecting her skills under the original owners Lory and Tamlyn Wedow, who founded this village landmark in 1982. She became the store’s manager in 1995 and its owner two years later, as well as the principal creative force behind the unique merchandise on display there.

Brown creates quality, handcrafted jewelry in gold, sterling, and mixed metal media, incorporating precious and semi-precious stones. Ask about her business philosophy, and Brown is quick to answer. “This shop is all about personal service and the very unique pieces we offer,” she explains. “That is what sets us apart. That is our passion.”

And the community she calls home? “Clinton combines the quaintness of a historic hometown with the contemporary feel of a progressive community,” says Brown. “It’s a wonderful place to live, shop, and do business.
